A letter from MDAD Conference Chair
Dear Sponsor,
The Maryland Association of the Deaf (MDAD) is planning to hold its 41st biennal conferences at Hood College, Frederick, MD, on July 24-25, 2009! As the theme, The “Past…The Present…The Future...” implies, we plan to continue the improvement of accessibility for deaf and hard of hearing Marylanders. The conference promises to be two days of not only educational, but also networking opportunities. Join us for this history making event as members of the deaf and hard of hearing community grow and become stronger, together.
The Maryland Association of the Deaf (MDAD) is a non-profit consumer advocacy organization which strives to promote the quality of life for deaf and hard of hearing individuals in Maryland. MDAD has provided one of the most significant changes in our state’s perception of deaf and hard of hearing people in the last few decades. MDAD was established to initiate and create a network of individuals and organizations that represent and serves deaf and hard of hearing people. Additionally, MDAD provides leadership to empower deaf and hard of hearing people all over Maryland by the creation of a support system that enhances their lives.
